From researching good practices to developing practical solutions for inclusion

How can we ensure that the inclusion of people with disabilities in vocational education and training and in the labour market becomes not only an ambition, but an everyday reality?

On 25–26 May, W.I.N. project partners from seven European countries met in La Zubia, Spain. Two intensive working days were dedicated to reviewing the results already achieved and planning the most important upcoming activities.

During the meeting, the European research on good practices in inclusive VET and employment was officially completed. Its findings help us better understand which solutions reduce barriers, strengthen the participation of people with disabilities, and create more accessible learning and working environments.

Most of the meeting focused on the three training programmes currently under development:

• for VET educators and training providers;
• for company managers, HR professionals, and recruiters;
• for VET learners and jobseekers with disabilities.

The partners discussed the structure of the programmes and allocated responsibility for the development of modules and lessons. Each module is being jointly developed by at least two organisations, combining experience, expertise, and practical examples from different European countries.

The partners also discussed stakeholder round tables, in-company workshops on inclusive employment, project quality assessment, and the future piloting of the training programmes at national and transnational level.

Step by step, the W.I.N. project aims to ensure that educators, employers, and people with disabilities have more knowledge, practical tools, and opportunities to jointly create environments in which everyone can learn, work, and participate fully.
