Professional career guidance for woman in management position in the field of digital competence (DIGIGEN)

Digital competence is and will be one of the increasingly important asset for companies and their employees in the coming years. Digitalisation demands the acquisisation of the digital skills, and it also involves new work and learning models, as well as innovative approaches to problem solving and decision making in companies, wich play a role in all management level.

Recent studies shows that necessary digitalisation skills are not available many companies, especially in the small-medium enterprises. Many managers don't feel sufficiently prepared for the upcoming changes, while the companies are already in the process of digitalisation.

The importance of digitalisation can be combined and with another priority of the European Parliament, that has uged the Commission and the Member States to use the full potential of digitalisation to promote the empowerment of the women in management positions.

Furthermore there is not enought professional counselling in management and for the reasons outlined above the professional career guidance of women manager by HR practiotioners and career counsellor in the field of the digitalisation become essential.

Erasmus+ program: KA220 –VET - Cooperation partnerships in vocational education and training.

Target groups:  HR practiotioners, career counsellors and women in management positions.

Stakeholders: Higher Education Institution, teachers, researchers, education experts, employment agencies.

 

Aim and objectives:

The DIGIGEN project consist on developing, piloting, evaluating an up-skilling programme for guidance professionals.

The main objectives of the DIGIGEN project are:

  • improve the career chances for women in management positions.

  • promote women's partecipation in digital develplment.

  • improve counselling competences and satisfy the need of an up-skilling programme for HR practiotioners and career counsellors in the topic digital compentences and career development of women in management positions.

  •  promote the cooperation between Higher Education Institution and companies.

  •  promote transnational exchanges and cooperation between partners.

 

Results:

Result 1: Competence profiling.
It consists on information gathering on the need of the target group and end-user group of DigiGen, that are HR practitioners and career counsellors and women in management position.

Result 2: Up-Skilling programme.
It is a blended learning format for HR practiotioners and career counsellors; it takes into account elements of face-to-face-training complemented by a self-directed online course and online materials in which participants can deepen the knowledge conveyed in the face-  to-face-training.

Result 3: Piloting and face-to-face training.
It is based on the previous results, the piloting will take place at national level.

Result 4 : Web Portal and self-direct online course.
The web portal aims to be the gateway through which the project’s target group can access the main outputs and components. The platform will present sections for trainers  for each partner’s country available in all partner’s languages.

Result 5: Project Management
It includes the organisation of workshops, the evaluation and monitoring of the progress of the project, the risk management, and the involvement of the partners in effective communication and networking (internal and external).
